I am always being challenged in my walk to pursue greater maturity that reflects Christ in all that I do, whether in a public or private setting. I believe that the pursuit of greater spiritual growth is not dependent upon my feelings but upon His command to FLEE immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18), be STRONG in the Lord (Ephesians 6:10), and PURSUE righteousness (2 Timothy 2:22).
We can only lead others in so far as we ourselves are pursuing, walking, and living out the Christian life each day. We will find it hard to lead other men into a lifestyle of spiritual wholeness if we ourselves still choose to live a lifestyle of spiritual mediocrity. May other men see in us the gracious, loving and merciful work of God and desire the same for themselves. Let us continue to show men in the church, and the world, what a man of God looks like.
